PERFORMANCES, AND FUNDRAISING FOR ERASETHEPAST.ORG

Los Angeles (September 1, 2010) -Renowned Los Angeles-based tattoo artist, Zulu of Zulu Tattoo, and bellydance-fusion performance group, Medianoche Dance Co. will co-host another Zulu Lounge event on Sunday, September 12, 2010.

Zulu Lounge LA is a quarterly event produced by Zulu Tattoo and Medianoche Dance Co. in Hollywood. The evening involves world renowned and local DJs, dance and circus act performances, art, live music and, most importantly, fundraising for charity! This variety show, with it’s roots in the Tribal Bellydance and Circus Acts Genre, is unlike any other in Hollywood. The goal here is to bring together worlds that would not otherwise collide.

This show will feature world renowned DJ Cheb i Sabbah, “musical adventurer, global spiritualist and producer extraordinaire,” along with Tribal Bellydancers, including renowned Sherri Wheatley, and renowned Flamenco dancer, Arleen Hurtado, and many more talented performers, including a fire performance by Entropy Arts.

This event is a fundraiser for EraseThePast.org http://www.erasethepast.org .“Dr. Bryna Kane and Dr. Edward Glassberg have helped forever changes the lives of 4,000 former gang members and youth-at-risk by giving them a fresh start that literally erases their past mistakes. They founded the ERASE THE PAST free gang tattoo removal clinic – largely out of their own savings — that begins with circle of healing in which they have had rival gang members whose families have shot at each other come together in peace, united by a common desire to start over.”

“ …it comes as no surprise that their semi-regular Zulu Lounge event packs in a dedicated crowd… ” ~LA Weekly http://blogs.laweekly.com/stylecouncil/nightlife/body-art-in-motion-zulu-tattoo/.
