Hello, From Hawaii
By Peggy Sucher

Getting Tattooed by Lyle Tuttle
Aloha. My name is Peggy Sucher, and I am delighted to join the distinguished columnists here at Tattoo Road Trip! Bob and I spoke at the latest National Tattoo Association Convention in Reno about my coming on board and, as the saying goes, here I am! My aim is to present the health issues that we are all concerned with every day in our studios. As you well know, things ain’t like they used to be and education and awareness are key, if one wants to continue in this trade.
Many of you know me from my “Funny Bonz” column in the National Tattoo Association newsletter or from my contributions to “SkinScribe,” from the Alliance of Professional Tattoists. I also write on Safety and Professionalism for our island cable company at www.aroundhawaii.com. I am certified to teach the Alliance of Professional Tattooists Prevention of Disease Transmission in Tattooing seminars and helped pen the updated manual. We also created a shortie blood borne path course for convention use. But let me make it clear, I am NOT here to represent APT, NTA or any organization. My words are my own and, while influenced by these great groups, I do not speak for or represent them here.

Aloha a hui hou!
